1. A Bit of Spice and a Dash of…Jalapeño.

I love to eat which makes food a passion which in turn makes passion succulent. This will be my first entry with regard to food and the places where they are served (no kidding).

Who here loves Mexican food? Shout CHILI WET BEAN BURRITO!!!

I bring you to Jalapeño, a two-level Mexican restaurant inside the Food Street of the Ortigas Home Depot. Serving semi-authentic (authentic would probably come from Mexico) dishes that reminded me of my childhood days back in the original Tia Maria. For the main dishes, I would recommend the Mexican Beef Enchilada with extra jalapeño chili slices to give it that spicy zing and the Grilled Chicken Fajitas. You may request these to be extra hot if you prefer it that way, which I do. After engulfing the spicy morsels, down it with some ice cold beer or a glass of their herbed lemonade to soothe the taste buds. Now that’s an experience I’d want to have over and over again.

The price here somewhat ranges between P150-P350 per person so I advice you to bring enough if you’re in a group or on a date. You may read more about them in their facebook page.

  2. You see, I just started focusing on photography a few weeks ago and I got caught in its awesome beauty. So yesterday, I decided to go on a solo-photowalk around Ortigas Center capturing everything that caught my eye. If you are asking why I did that, here’s a simple formula that might help:
Boredom + Free Time = Impromptu Solo Photowalk
After taking a few shots, I noticed people started staring at me. I guess it was weird seeing this guy taking pictures while wearing a smile on his face. But then I realized they were actually staring down at my feet. It didn’t really bother me. So I went on taking photographs of skyscrapers, street signs, enforcers, trees and even an old lady with an umbrella. I honestly had fun and I definitely would go for another walk but with a bunch of friends this time. Any takers?

  3. Design is so simple, that’s why it’s so complicated.
